(also they're working on a documentary and you can give them money if you want...) it is easy - when you are all enraged by the things that are happening - to not give credit to the men and boys who are NOT awful.

as strongly as i feel about all this stuff, and as opinionated as i am, i hate to think that the gooood men in my life might think they are bad or that i think that they are bad. i am very blessed to have a lot of fantastically thoughtful, kind, progressive, considerate, articulate, passionate people around me who allow me to speak bravely and develop my ideas about the world. a lot of those people are men. and i think they're aces. and i'm grateful to them for using their voices. and for being a part of the movement. i'm glad that we can learn from and with each other. like i said. hoooray! thanks! good work.

i've had a job for three months! and that means my probation is over!

today i had my unofficial 3 month review-lunch. and it was great AND delicious.

and i love my job. and i love my life. and i am a happy girl. because.

i have health benefits!

i have a salary!

i have cool and fun and kind and reasonable co-workers!

i get to do little logistic problems!

i have room to grow!

i get to plan a christmas party for kids and go present shopping for TOYS!!!

i had an awesome ladies date this week with some of my favourite ladies seeing an amazing movie!

i have been spending time with a really cool dude!

i cleaned my kitchen last night and it is a magical dream!

i am on day 11 of 18 days in a row of working! some days 2 jobs in one! i'm a bit tired. my legs are sore. from the walking.

so there's not much time for much aside from eating and sleeping and HANGING OUT WITH MARGENE! she is the best. this week we found an off-leash park right near us that is actually well fenced and gated, so i can let her off-leash! and she can run around, which is great! and look what she can do:



yup! anyways. it's an all margene post, which i'm sure you were really dying for. cause she is the best.

as promised, margene in her cone.



it was a tragic time. the combination of being hungry (she wasn't allowed to eat from midnight the night before, and then still for another few hours when she got home from surgery. rough.), and slightly drugged, AND the cone? too much for the poor thing. she moved very slowly. and ran into a lot of stuff. it. was. HILARIOUS! (she perked up after a few hours and even figured out how to carry toys around. don't worry.)



and now she's all recovered and cone-free, and running around like a bandit. here we are playing 'chase-the-puppy-till-she's-tired-enough-to-sleep-through-part-of-the-night'. a quality, 2am-ey kind of game. (it is worth watching the blurry-shaking-about for the last few seconds where she's all grin-panting. like a REAL dog!)



usually i get real real tired and give up on trying to wear her down. emma, chris... when are you gonna make good on your promises to run with this thing?

p.s. she is huge now. she weighs 9.7llbs.
