it is all heavy in the heart that i give you what we now know was oscar de la renta's last collection with the man himself at the helm. de la renta passed away yesterday, at 82 years old, and the whole fashion world is feeling the loss. he was such a brilliantly talented man, but also a good and kind man, according to all accounts. i can't even begin to get my head around what he did to/for fashion through his lifetime.

sometimes i panic when i put of big jewelery, and then i take it all off again and go out with none. jewelery makes me nervous. don't know why. just does.

but don't worry! oscar de la renta put the jewelery right ON the clothes, so i wouldn't have the option of taking them off! phew! problems solved.

(there were a few horribly grade 9 grad in the 80's but not in a good way dresses in this collection. i am ignoring them because i like oscar de la renta and i don't want to think he's lost touch with glamour. ignore ignore!)
