this is the last prefall collection i have clipped. and it might be the last i write about this season, seeing as fall-proper starts, like, NOW! (okay. well. new york starts on the 9th. so. tomorrow.) oh, fashion. how quickly you roll along. you silly, beautiful machine.

may as well end with a big name, as we began with one. YSL. yves saint laurent. you've maybe heard of this line? yes. you have. well. the originator of 'le smoking tuxedo', menswear cut for women. a bit of a legend. (and now in the hands of stefano pilati.) and. yes. i love the squareness. the boxiness. the deep-v's which manage to not look overly sexed. (in leather, even!) the coat which is actually a GIANT TIE. the pantsuitpowersuit. well done, and thank you. YSL.
