leaves have lost hold of the branches

mcq is alright by me. and not only because it is probably the only mcqueen i'll ever be close to being able to afford. (i'm still so bummed about that time, 6 or so years ago, when there was that ONE alexander mcqueen dress way marked down to $200 at holts, but it was for sure 2 sizes too small. oh how i tried...)

i love this silouhette so much. it reminds me of grandma hooper and sassy strong wartime ladies with their HIPS and their SHOULDERS. these are my people.

then there is the mossey flowers growing on the clothes. the fur v-necks (giant swooning sigh). that knit so perfect i clipped menswear. the heavy doc-martin-y shoes with the ankle straps. the fine detail-work on the burgundy velvet that makes me want to cry. and real dried leaves on the runway. (emma... how's about that last look for your wedding?)

Nice! Although I kind of like the second last version even better...
