but with christopher kane, there is an elegance and intentionality in the stiffness and awkwardness that i really like. the leather cords that are too big and puffy and over-define the edges and waists and ankles... that hip-tie that is so big and look-at-me-i-am-a-thing?!... like his liquid-filled plastic bits last year, i feel like it is drawing attention to the body in an interesting way. an awareness of being in something. i don't know how to articulate it exactly. so. let's just look.
