everything was beautiful

ballet is super in right now. because of black swan. and i loved black swan. (i won't go into what i felt were the good and the bad parts of the film. too many words there. but i can say, simply, that it was visually stunning.)

i've been pretending to be a ballerina for years. you know... wearing pink tank tops and leg warmers... or... wearing second hand ballet slippers (from that one class i took in high school) around the house. or there was that halloween when i WAS a ballerina and even had pointe shoes. that was the best.

i'm staying up too late again tonight, watching centre stage. remember centre stage? brilliant. hilarious. and a reminder of how much i love the montages in dance movies where the ballerinas are breaking in their toe shoes and taping their toes. reminds you that it is a beautiful sport, but it is a SPORT with all that aggression and injury... well. here are some ballet-and-ballet-inspired-pictures for you!
