vote please.

a very very important decision needs to be made!!!!

i have two couches that i must choose between. i need your help please, people of the internet!

let me tell you a bit about them:

couch one!


green! microfibre... this couch is super fun times, a good match to the wallpaper i want. a bit modern in shape, a bit classic in button tufting. great price.


couch two!


black. but not TOO black, you know? a textured black. a nice woven material, which i somewhat prefer to microfibre. a little more comfortable for corner-leaning/reading-posture, but the cushion-back may be problematic with margene. she may steal the cushions and throw them around. also it is a little more expensive. like. $300. more.

so?! pros and cons! thoughts?! talk to me, my people. help me out. i love them both differently. sigh. this is the worst! don't even get me started on my bed choices. and. come on! mattresses?! exhausting.

p.s. i got the apartment! fyi. so. thus. me planning the furniture purchases.

the park, yo!

thank goodness for the park. i don't mind the mosquito bites. i don't mind the skinned knee and elbow (john!). it is summertime in the park! games and drinks and dogs and cheese and sparklers and cartwheels. THE PARK!!! (also, look look! look at my new friends that i have!)



for reals, though. this is the week. right guys? RIGHT?! cause last week, instead, there was the flu and the foot infections. so. this week. okay?

we're doing a condo add this week again! but this time there won't be any green screen. wha?! i know.

meanwhile, i have a scraped up elbow and knee, and a bruised hip. from a hardcore frisbee take-down. summer!

a wise woman does what she knows

not all that long ago, say... two months, i finally got everything in my apartment completely and totally in place. like. everything. every trinket and piece of paper had its place. and then. the bed bugs showed up. and my apartment got all un-awesome. three treatments later (and a visit from a prep specialist... AFTER the treatments. dumb.), nothing has a place and everything is everywhere.

this is what my home looks like right now:



so. to keep me from crying all day every day (i prefer to only cry for bits of most days...) i've been planning. planning my futurehome. come september, god willing, i will be living in an awesome new place with an awesome new roommate (who is HUMAN even!). and i can't freaking WAIT! i have pretty much everything planned. i will be wallpapering one wall in the living room and my bedroom. i will be getting a new bed! one that wasn't incorrectly assembled ever, and doesn't threaten to collapse every night. it's gonna be aces! and check out how ready i am:








it is possible that i'm a massive nerd. as yet unconfirmed... but! i'm going to make it through the next month and a half. i will i will. and then everything will be the best!

happy bastille day everyone! i can't wait to drink a lot of wine and wear stripes. which is exactly what i'll be doing this evening. with balloons and sparklers...
