well. we're back to the painterly grind. and i'm trying to be pumped about it, even though i would like to have another few weeks, or months, back at home. i built three stretchers (still not happy with the quality of stretcher here... thought maybe i'd grow to accept it. i haven't.) and got two of them canvased today. so. here are some sketches and composition drawings for the new paintings.
